Mary Ann (Bauer) Marshall, 66, of 1468 Lee Jackson Highway passed away Friday, September 2, 2016 at her residence.
Ms. Marshall was born on September 12, 1949 in Brooklyn, New York a daughter of the late Robert L. and Mary A. (Coughlan) Bauer.
Mary was formerly a Daycare Assistant for Ridgeview Christian School when her son was young. She was a homemaker and enjoyed auto racing, and all racing events. She was a loving mother, a wonderful sister, and a true friend who always put her family and friends first. She loved all animals, always taking care of her own pets and strays, never letting them go hungry or uncared for. She never met a stranger and everyone that met her loved her.
Surviving is her lifetime partner of 26 years, Russell H. Schmidt; a son, AJ Marshall both of Staunton; a brother, Harold Hank Bauer and his wife Lisa of Long Island, New York; special friends, Richard and Iris Schmidt, Keith and Pam Swink, Bruce and Cathy Elder and Terry and Janet Murry; and many extended family and friends also survive.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, September 5, 2016 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2016 in the Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church by Father Joseph Wamala.
