Martha Jane (Southerly) Head, 53, of 623 Stuart Street, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014, at her residence.
Mrs. Head was born on July 26, 1961, in Staunton, Virginia, a daughter of Annie May (Humphrey) Getz.
Martha attended Victory Worship Center. She was a CNA at Avante Nursing Home and enjoyed hanging out with her sisters.
In addition to her mother, Martha is survived by a son, Zachary T. Zach Head of Staunton and his friend Crystal Bennett; five sisters, Fonda L. Hyde of Verona, Jamie A. Dill and husband Allen of Arizona, Diane L. Getz of West Virginia, Paula D. Getz of Fort Defiance and her friend Torry Kiser, and Shelly N. Wade of Verona; a granddaughter, Kiley R. Bennett; a number of nieces and nephews; and a number of great nieces and nephews also survive.
A Memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, in Victory Worship Center.
The family will receive friends following the service.
