(Brown) Lotts
February 10, 1931 – January 3, 2023
Martha Annette (Brown) Lotts, 91, of Walnut Street, Staunton, widow of John Marvin Lotts, Sr., went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
Martha was born to Clarence William Brown and Bessie Rae (Sipe) Brown on February 10, 1931 in Staunton, Virginia.
Mrs. Lotts retired from Dupont with forty years of service.
In addition to her beloved husband, Mrs. Lotts was preceded in death by her sister and best friend, Mildred Folks; a brother, Clarence W. Brown and his wife, Penny Brown, who was more like a sister; two sisters-in-law, Dolly Fry and Nancy Crickenberger; a niece, Yvonne Goff; and a special great-great-niece, Kristina Goodrow.
She is survived by her two sons, John Marvin Lotts, Jr. and his wife, Tammy, of Churchville and David Shannon Lotts and his wife, Donna, of Staunton; two granddaughters, Bethany Lotts of Virginia Beach and Sara Lotts of Staunton; and four great-grandchildren, Sophia, Harley, Xion, and Lily Belle.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and at other times at the residence of David and Donna Lotts, 111 Boddington Road, Staunton, VA 24401.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2023 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Dan Garber.
Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be David Botkin, John Nance, James McManus, Jimmy Shiflett, Randy Mawyer, and Johnny Simonetti.
It is suggested, those desiring, make memorial contributions to Swoope Volunteer Fire Department, 697 Parkersburg Turnpike, Staunton, VA 24401.
The family would like to express a sincere "Thank you" to the staff at Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah for their kindness and care.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
