April 29, 1934 – January 31, 2025
Marjorie Lee (Arritt) Nuckoles, 90, wife of Russell Lee Nuckoles, of Staunton, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025 in Shenandoah Nursing Home in Fishersville.
Mrs. Nuckoles was born on April 29, 1934 in Covington, Virginia a daughter of the late William Edward Arritt and Bertie (Reynolds) Arritt.
Marjorie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was retired from American Safety Razor after 30 years as a Quality Control Inspector. She enjoyed knitting and flower gardening.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Goldman Arritt and Lacey Arritt; a sister, Faye Landis; and a son-in-law, Timothy Protil.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 47 years are two sons, Ronnie W. Andrews and his wife Donna of West Augusta, and Tim Nuckoles and his wife Betty of Grottoes; four daughters, Marion A. Lyle and her husband David, and Annette Protil both of Staunton, Barbara Clifton and her husband Wade of Verona, and Sandy Martin and her husband Chuck of Waynesboro; thirteen grandchildren, Jason Miller and his wife Kristina, Lindsay Andrews and her wife Lindsay Woods, Kevin Lyle, Amanda Childress and her husband Brandon, Emylee, Caleb, and Joshua Protil, Shelley Shuman and her husband Chris, Aaron Clifton, Brittany Tinsley, Megan Brown and her husband Kyle, Dustin Nuckoles, and Kaitlyn Robinson and her husband Jake; and thirteen great-grandchildren, Adeline Miller, Jon David Lyle, Calla Dunlap, Hunter Childress, Emma Chadziutko, Waylon Childress, Piper Miller, Oaklynn Andrews, Kayden Nulty, Bailey Errickson, Maliyah Jones, Claudia Shuman and Karsyn Brown.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2025 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastors Bobby Campbell and Caleb Protil.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Hunter Childress, Jon David Lyle, Jason Miller, Aaron Clifton, Dustin Nuckoles, and Kevin Lyle.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
