Marion Jean (Withrow) Via, 74, wife of William Lloyd "Billy" Via, Sr., of Railroad Avenue, Goshen, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 at her residence.
Mrs. Via was born in Staunton, Virginia on October 24, 1947, the daughter of the late Charles Clifford Withrow and Lillian Olivine (Graham) Withrow Grimes.
Mrs. Via was an active member of Goshen Presbyterian Church. She was former Vice-Mayor of the Town of Goshen, a life member of the Goshen First Aid Crew where she served as a Shock Trauma tech, was a charter member of the Goshen Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Goshen PTA. She owned and operated Country Lane Florist and enjoyed flowers, bird watching, she loved horses and she enjoyed horseback riding.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 54 years, is a son, Lloyd Via and wife Teresa of Goshen; two daughters, Teresa Alphin and husband Glen and Crystal Hostetter and husband William, both of Goshen; two grandchildren, Lettie Alphin and Sadie Alphin; special beagle dog, Princess Liea and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022 in Goshen Presbyterian Church by Pastor Kevin Persinger.
Burial will follow in the Goshen Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service or at the residence at other times.
Active Pallbearers are Timmy Alphin, Robby Gordon, Jamie Bryant, Anthony Kirby, Michael Taylor, and J.B. Graham.
It is suggested that those desiring, make memorial contributions to Goshen Presbyterian Church, c/o Tina Glenn, 1329 Tunnel Hill Road, Millboro, VA 24460 or Goshen First Aid, 9770 Maury River Road, Goshen, VA 24439.
The family would like to express a sincere "Thank you" to all of the friends, nurses, and aids that helped Mrs. Via during her illness.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
