Marie Mitchell (VanFossen) Coulbourn, 65, wife of Levin T. Coulbourn, of 326 Gray Ave., passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013, at her residence.
Mrs. Coulbourn was born on February 22, 1948 in Staunton, a daughter of Rosebud (Ashby) VanFossen and the late Murry VanFossen.
Marie was a member of Elk Run Church of the Brethren; she played the piano and enjoyed playing for various churches and country music groups.
In addition to her father, Mrs. Coulbourn was preceded in death by a step son Kevin Thomas Coulbourn.
Surviving in addition to her mother and her husband of twenty-seven years, is a daughter, Lorrie McDonald of Staunton; four step daughters, Denise Dull and husband Danny of West Augusta, Ruth Barstow and husband Don of Bridgewater, Karen Genet and husband Thad of Swoope, and Sandra Coulbourn of Stuarts Draft; one granddaughter, Amber McDonald; nine step grandchildren; thirteen step great grandchildren; and one step great-great grandchild.
The family will have a private service at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be private.
It is suggested that those desiring make memorial contributions to Victory Worship Center Building Fund, 200 Hammond Lane, Staunton, Virginia 24401.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
