Marie Blanch (Shifflett) Morris, 95, widow of Melvin Tabler Morris of 910 Richmond Road passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012 in Kings Daughters Community Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Morris was born March 17, 1917 in Elkton, a daughter of the late Jesse C. and Blanche (Haney) Shifflett.

Marie was a homemaker, fabulous cook and a wonderful lady who loved her home and worked for the needs of her family.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by a daughter, Loretta Marie Wright; a granddaughter, Pamela M. Myers; three brothers and four sisters.

She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving is a daughter, Yvonne M. Agnor of Staunton; four grandchildren. Trudy D. Grogg and her husband Garry, Frederick D. Agnor, Jr. and his wife Kimberly, Rusty Wright and Wayne Wright; two great- grandchildren, Jeremy T. Rasnake and his fiance Ashley Stephenson and Trinity P. Agnor; a great-great grandson, Wyatt M. Rasnake; and a special dear companion, Henry Wilhelm also survive.

A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in Augusta Memorial Park by Rev. Stephen L. Lawhorne.
