Margie C. Zawhorodny
STAUNTON-
Margie Tillie (Clark) Zawhorodny, 75, widow of Borys Zawhorodny passed away Monday, August 16, 2010.
Mrs. Zawhorodny was born in Rockbridge County, on April 17, 1935, a daughter of the late Wilridge A. and Rosa Mayberry (Wood) Clark.
Margie was a member of the Free Pentecostal Holiness Church in Waynesboro. She attended Montevideo School in Penn Laird, VA., she loved to travel and trips most enjoyed were to Israel and Hawaii. She had a great love for the children she came in contact with and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents and husband, Margie was preceded in death by two sons, Victor J. Zawhorodny and Michael A. Zawhorodny, a daughter Rebecca R. Zawhorodny and two brothers, Clarence G. Clark, Sr. and Joseph T. Clark.
Survivors include four sons, Joseph R. Zawhorodny of Smith Mountain Lake, Steve L. Zawhorodny of Swoope, John B. Zawhorodny of Waynesboro and Mark T. Zawhorodny of Staunton; four daughters, Carol E. Root and her husband Floyd of Waynesboro, Rosa M. Stevens of Staunton, Barbara A. Rose of Fishersville and Clarissa L. McKenzie and her husband Jack of Waynesboro; a brother Willie J. Clark and wife Toby of Staunton; two sisters, Pauline Ward of Charlottesville and Thelma F. Wiseman of Crimora; thirty grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday August 18, 2010 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 19, 2010 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Keith A. Mays and Mr. James Raines.
Burial will follow in the Irish Creek Community Cemetery, Rockbridge County.
Active pallbearers will be Sheldon Ward, Donnie Ward, Keith Stevens, Floyd Root, Jack McKenzie, and Phillip Wiseman.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
