(Shumate) Harrison
September 28, 1950 – December 25, 2021
Margaret Ann (Shumate) Harrison, 71, widow of William David Harrison, of Park Boulevard, Staunton, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. Harrison was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on September 28, 1950, a daughter of the late Barnes Julius Shumate and Gertrude (Henry) Shumate.
Mrs. Harrison was a member of First Baptist Church and was employed at Paul Obaugh Ford. She was a previous employee of Augusta County Fire Department and C & P Telephone Company. Margaret enjoyed collecting lighthouses, snowmen and Precious Moments. She especially loved the company of her cat, Tinker.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Brian D. Harrison and a sister, Clara Densmore.
Surviving, is a son, Shawn P. Harrison of Staunton; three sisters, Judith S. Eller of Crozet, Linda S. Hill of Staunton, and Patricia S. Stuart and her significant other, James Hulvey of Mt. Sidney; a grandchild, Trinity Almarode; two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Chanel; three grand godchildren, Mya, Kaylee, and Fallon; a number of nephews and her friends and co-workers at Paul Obaugh Ford.
Due to the COVID pandemic, all services will be private.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to The Salvation Army, c/o Angel Tree, 1700 West Beverley Street, Staunton, VA 24401.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
