MARGARET H. ROBERTS
Margaret Helen (Arbaugh) Roberts, 90 widow of Kyle W. Roberts, of 98 William Cousins Road, passed away Sunday, (December 14, 2008) in the Augusta Medical Center.
Mrs. Roberts was born January 8, 1918, in Lewisburg, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Charles A. and Virginia (Roach) Arbaugh.
Prior to retiring as a private nurse, Mrs. Roberts worked at the Leggetts Department Store and the Western State Hospital. She also had a love for all types of music and had the gift of being able to play most any instrument.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers Charles, Walter, Shorty, Edward and Joe Arbaugh and two sisters, Ella Rexrode and Madeline Robertson.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by her son with whom she made her home, Wendell R. Roberts and her daughter Betty J. Roberts both of Staunton; two grandsons, Timothy W. and Matthew D. Gregory; two great-grandchildren, Dusty Allen and Brian Douglas Gregory and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (December 17, 2008) in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Merle Dodson. Burial will follow in the Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Bobby Roberts, Mike Fitzgerald, Doug Johnson, Kyle Roberts, Delmar Lambert and Robert Byrd.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening in the funeral home.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive Staunton is in charge of the arrangements.
