Margaret Desire (Boggs) Meek, 81, of Waynesboro passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at UVA Medical Center, Charlottesville.
Mrs. Meek was born June 20, 1933 in Exmore, a daughter of the late Cecil Lough and Desire Osterhout Boggs.
Desire was a member of Glovier Memorial United Methodist Church in Waynesboro.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Meek was preceded in death by a son, Charles Meek; and two brothers, George Boggs and Ralph Boggs.
Mrs. Meek is survived by two sons, James Meek, and Robert (Mike) Meek, Jr. and wife Sheila both of Waynesboro; and two daughters, Vickie Lam and husband Donnie of Front Royal and Amerylis Roberts and husband Scott of Verona; nine grandchildren, Bridgette Palmer and husband Ryan, Ashlyn Soulsby, Dustin Meek, Heather Smith and husband Raymond, Chuck Roberts and fianc Brandie Stover, Danette Rogers and husband Jeff, Donnie Lam, Jr. and wife Sarah, Deric Lam and wife Tabitha, and Duane Lam and wife Joni; thirteen great- grandchildren, Corey, Anna, Lexi, Leia, Hayden, Chase, Teagan, Austin, Max, Andrew, Kinley, Kace, and Berea; a brother, Cecil Boggs, Jr. and wife Eva; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 23, 2015 in Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church Cemetery, White Hall, Charlottesville by Pastor Ryan Schaeffer.
The family would like to extend a special Thank you to Dr. Dillon, Jo Ann and staff at the Emily Couric Cancer Center and the caring staff at UVA Hospital.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
