Margaret "Margie" (Bottenfield) Bird, 76, wife of Paul Bird Jr., of Buffalo Gap Highway in Churchville, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at her residence.
Mrs. Bird was born in Bath County, Virginia on August 13, 1945, a daughter of the late Albert and Clarice Bottenfield.
Margie was a member of Redeeming Life Ministries and a graduate of Buffalo Gap High School. She was a God fearing woman and loved her Lord. Mrs. Bird was compassionate, strong, and loved her family. She was a loving sister and a favorite aunt.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bird was preceded in death by a sister, a brother, a great-grandson, and a nephew.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 51 years, are eight children, Paul Bird III (Tami), Sherry Lambert, Kathi Starks (Cliff), Penny Stinnett (Wayne), James Ramsey (Dolly), Matthew Bird (Christie), Shawn Bird (Shelly), and Raven Bird; twenty-one grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Worth (Steve); a brother, Robert Bottenfield (Shirley); two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 14, 2022, at Redeeming Life Ministries by Pastor James Potter.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her remaining grandchildren.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
