Mackie Sharon (Andrews) Brown, 79, widow of her beloved husband of 60 years, Boyd Lee "Buck" Brown, of Staunton, passed away Friday, April 26, 2024 in The Regency at Augusta in Fishersville.

Mrs. Brown was born in Clifton Forge, Virginia on February 21, 1945, a daughter of the late Wilbur "Pete" and Dollie (Peters) Andrews.

Mackie was an active member of Linden Heights Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved her family dearly and spoiled her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, painting and playing bingo.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles and Warren Knicely, Donald and Dennis Andrews; and a sister, Dorothy Burke and ten sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

She is survived by her children, Brent Brown and his wife, Kim of Staunton, Kelly Curd and her husband James, of Fishersville, and Mandy Brown and her husband, Stephen Didot of Waynesboro; grandchildren Shawn Brown and his wife, Ashley of Staunton, Bryce Curd and his wife, Kate of Richmond, Kasey Bost and her husband, Casey of Charlotte, NC, Ryan Miller of Fishersville, and Kabell Miller and Dylan Oxendine, of Roanoke; great-grandchildren Addison Brown, Carter Oxendine, Charlotte Oxendine, Jackson Taylor, Tyson Taylor, and Ryder Taylor; very special sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Joyce Clatterbaugh and her husband, Vaiden, Dot Hall, Elizabeth Little and her husband, Mike, Lester Brown and his wife Carol and Gary Brown and his wife, Dreama and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 in Linden Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Luke Smith officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church or anytime at the residence of Brent and Kim Brown, 132 Chamberlain Drive, Staunton.

Burial will follow in Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Fishersville.

Active pallbearers will be Shawn Brown, Bryce Curd, Ryan Miller, Scott Burke, Mike Little and Mike Little, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Linden Heights Baptist Church, 371 Linden Drive, Staunton, Virginia 24401.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
