Luke McCloud Shirley, infant son of Robert Ward and Sarah (McCloud) Shirley, of 117 Bell Creek Drive, Staunton, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

Little Luke was born in Charlottesville on Friday, December 21, 2012.

Though his life was short, he made a huge impact on the ones around him who anticipated his coming and have heard his testimony.

Surviving in addition to his parents is a brother, John Ward Shirley; Paternal Grandparents, William D. and Susan Shirley of Churchville; Maternal Grandmother, Lisa Naud of Aiken, S.C.; Paternal Great-Grandmother, Ruth P. Simpson of Prospect, VA ; Maternal Great Grandmother, Peggy Ann Fields of Sevierville, TN and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Victory Worship Center by Pastor Ray Eppard.

The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be private.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of his arrangements.
