Lucille (Anthony) Vanfossen's Obituary
Lucille (Anthony) VanFossen, 94, widow of Francis Waters VanFossen, of Staunton, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mrs. VanFossen was born on April 21, 1922 in West Augusta, Virginia, a daughter of the late Walter Lee and Georgia ONita (Thomas) Anthony.
Lucille was a member of Marquis Memorial United Methodist Church, she was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and sewing.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Surviving is a son, Allan D. VanFossen and his fiance Cynthia Whetzel of Staunton; three sisters, Wilma Jo Penird of Columbus, Ohio, Betty Jones of Springhill, Tennessee and Jean Massey of Wake Forest, North Carolina.
A Graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2016 in Thornrose Cemetery by Pastor Robert Sharp.
The family will receive friends following the service in Marquis Memorial United Methodist Church fellowship hall.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to Marquis Memorial United Methodist Church, 1614 West Beverley Street, Staunton, Virginia 24401.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
