Obituary

Louise Wanda (Mader) Fitzgerald, of 362 Mary Gray Lane, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at her residence.
Ms. Fitzgerald was born on April 4, 1927 in Staunton, a daughter of the late William Walter Mader and Margaret (Pitsenberger) Mader Sutherland.
Louise was a member of Parkview Christian Church and she retired from Genesco.
Ms. Fitzgerald was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are three daughters, Vivian F. Heflin of Fredericksburg, Sandra E. Lile and her husband Craig of Norfolk, and Pamela K. Viera of Woodford; a grandson, Christopher W. Howdyshell and his wife Nicole; and two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Carrie Howdyshell.
A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 in Oaklawn Memory Gardens by Pastor Barry Creasy.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to Staunton-Augusta Regional S.P.C.A., Post Office Box 2014, Staunton, Virginia 24402.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to a devoted friend and caregiver, Nancy DePriest, Amy Eye with the Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah and other wonderful caregivers.
