Louise Marie (Conner) Landes, 92, widow of Elmer Calvin Landes, formerly of Main Street, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016 in Birch Gardens in Staunton.
Mrs. Landes was born on September 4, 1923 in Spottswood, Virginia, a daughter of the late Alby B., Sr and Elizabeth (Nuckoles) Conner.
Louise was a member of Greenville Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Landes was employed as a hostess at the Holiday Inn.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Calvin Wilson Landes; three brothers, Alby B. Conner, Jr., Earl Conner and Hansford Conner; three sisters, Hazel Strickler, Ocie Mackey and Freda Crews.
Survivors include two grandchildren, James W. Landes and his wife Pamela and Mary Beth Hanger; three great-grandchildren, Kayla Elise Landes, Savanna Hanger and James Chase Landes; a special sister-in-law, Betty Landes and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
A Private Graveside service will be conducted in the Greenville United Methodist Church Cemetery by Pastor John Ward.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
