Lorraine Susan (Thompson) Arehart, 69, wife of Tony Arehart, of 614 Old White Hill Road in Stuarts Draft, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Arehart was born on September 13, 1953 in Lowell, Vermont, a daughter of the late Sherm John and Genette Genevea (Cheney) Thompson.

Lorraine was a member of White Hill Church of the Brethren. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life and she loved time spent with them.

She enjoyed fishing, camping and attending sporting events.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Arehart was preceded in death by a grandson, Austin Bennington; a brother, Bruce Thompson; two sisters, Darlene Johnson and Janice Hudson; and a niece, Anita Key.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of thirty-three years, are two sons, Walter "Whimpy" Bryant, III and his wife, Stephanie of Greenville and Aron Bryant and his wife, Crystal of Middlebrook; two daughters, Crystal Wenger and her husband, Chuck of Linville and Lori Bennington and her husband, Richard of Staunton; three brothers, Richard Thompson and his wife, Bev of Highland County, Wayne Thompson of Staunton and Aron Thompson of Stuarts Draft; eight grandchildren, B.J. and wife, Keri Williams, Bryant and wife, Hanna Williams, Derrick Bennington, Eryn Bryant and fiancé Kendall, Trystan Bryant and wife, Brianna, Makelle Rodgers, Gabby Bryant and Maddie Bryant; one great granddaughter, Emma and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 in the White Hill Church of the Brethren, 749 Old White Hill Road, Stuarts Draft, Virginia 24477.

A Memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 in the White Hill Church of the Brethren by Pastor Dave Chappell.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
