Loretta Ellen Simmons, 82, of Ashboro, North Carolina passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at First Health Moore Regional in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Ms. Simmons was born on November 23, 1941 in Virginia, a daughter of the late Connell and Margaret (Stone) Gutshall.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Simmons was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Simmons; the love of her life, Luther Agnor; two sisters, Betsy Gutshall and Janet Faye Gutshall; son-in-law, Bobby; and a grandson, Booter.

Ms. Simmons is survived by two sons, Gary Gutshall and his wife, Beverly of Staunton, and Michael Agnor and his wife, Robin of Grottoes; three daughters, Cheryl Love and her husband, Dave of Ohio, Patsy Woodell and her husband, Anthony of North Carolina, and Donna Nucholes of Richmond; two brothers, Doug Gutshall, and Darrell Gutshall; two sisters, Paula Snead and JoAnn Mawyers; ten grandchildren and fifteen special great-grandchildren including Kaitlin Hoke.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Augusta Memorial Park by Pastor Michael Poindexter.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
