Loretta Elizabeth "Rette" (Bosserman) Cline, 73, wife of David Lee "Dave" Cline of Staunton, Virginia passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at her residence.

She was born in Staunton, Virginia on September 24, 1947, a daughter of the late Harold Dennis and Mary Elizabeth Moyer Bosserman.

Rette was owner, designer, and decorator of "Rette Made Interiors" for many years. Her clients were like family and friends and called on her services many times for her expertise in their home makeovers. She was a member of Marquis Memorial Methodist Church in Staunton, Virginia. Rette was a 1965 graduate of Wilson Memorial High School. She attended Richard Bland College in Petersburg, Virginia, VCU in Richmond, Virginia, and graduated from James Madison University in 1975 with a degree in Art Education for teaching grades K-12. She taught school for 7 years at Kate Collins Middle in Waynesboro, Virginia. She then opened her own business and began a career as a designer and decorator until her retirement. She was on the Wilson Memorial High School reunion committee for 50 years where her artistic ideas were always enjoyed. Rette loved her work in her "postage" stamp yard as she called it and her love for flowers was highly admired. Her daughter and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved visiting with them from east coast to west coast. Dagwood and Blondie, her much loved cats, are the last two of her rescue felines. She always had a special place in her heart for giving them a home with love.

She was preceded in death by a precious grandson, who was stillborn, Haden Alexander Wills, and her special cousin, Buddy Bosserman.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her loving daughter, Tracy Leigh Knott Wills and a special son-in-law, Johnny Allen Wills of Franklin, North Carolina. Rette was fondly known as "Nanny" to her three grandchildren, John Steven Wills, Samuel Haden Wills, and Bianka Elizabeth Wills. Also, surviving is her wonderful sister, Vrla Ryan Bosserman Leach and "special" brother-in-law, Frederick Pence Leach. Together they blessed her with two nephews: Ashley Stuart Leach and special friend, Missy, great niece, Ryan Paige Leach and great nephew, Oliver Reid Paxton Leach, and nephew, Andrew Pence Leach (Tara). She is also, survived by her first husband, George Steven Knott and the W.I. Lunsford family.

She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Marion E. Curry Cline, sister-in-law, Sandi Carsten (Rick), and two brothers-in-law, Gary Gene Cline (Rebecca) and James Earl (Jimmy) Cline. Together they blessed us with nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews: Ashley Bogart (Chris), Deanna Spracher and special friend Ryan, Melanie Cline, Jamie Overby, Teagon Overby, Alex Overby, Teddy Overby, Brianleigh Fisher, MacKenzie Bogart, Mark Garland (Brittanni), Chad Garland, Brittanny Houston, Krystal Parker, Jackson Garland, and Braden Smith.

There are special aunts, uncles, and cousins that were very dear to Rette:
Sylvia H. Bosserman, Lorrine Jewell Bosserman, Christine Mahanes, Judy Hostetter, Robin Voorhees, Ruth Kay Smith, Gary Bosserman, Tammy Puffenbarger (James), Jason Hostetter, Dave Mahanes (Oak), Jenny Bosserman, and Chad Bosserman from her Dad's family.

Uncle Abe and Aunt Winnie Moyer, Pam Flyn, Mike Moyer (Priscilla) David Moyer (Gayle), and two nephews, along with George Dennis Moyer, Shirley Ribbi, Frances Mawyer (Rick), Connie Kester, Sandy Moyer, and Linda Moyer were special to her from her Mom's family.

Left to cherish her memory are her very special friends: Lois and John Ocheltree, Beckey and Jerry Cash, Tilly and Tony Simonetti, Gaye and Bobby Whitson, Jane Karicofe, Suzzette Moore, Indah Morse, Joyce Shirkey, Linda and Joe Mader, Mary Lou Brubaker, Colleen Cooper, Nancy Showalter, and Diane Crawford.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2021 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by the Reverend Tim Feazell.

Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Waynesboro, Virginia.

Active pallbearers will be Dr. John Ocheltree, Jr., Jerry Cash, Tony Simonetti, Mark Garland, Chad Garland, Ashley Leach, and Andrew Leach.

Honorary pallbearers will be Scottie Yeago, Darlene Yeago, Wayne Brumbaugh, Jimmy Coffey, Pat Coffey, Tommy Landrum, Bruce Hewitt, Joe Mader, Joyce Shirkey, Allen Shirkey, Faye Shelton, Diane Crawford, and Friends attending the service.
