Lois Jean Huffman's Obituary

Lois Jean (Rankin) Huffman 73, widow of Jennings Burgess Huffman, formerly of Mount Sidney passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mrs. Huffman was born on January 18, 1942 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late William Bryant and Alma Fleta (Roadcap) Rankin.

Lois was a member of the Good Shepherd Church of the Nazarene, a past member of the Staunton Moose Chapter #1439 and the Staunton Eagles. She enjoyed playing bingo, working crossword puzzles and watching TV.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Huffman was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Rankin and a sister, Jeanette McCray.

Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca L. Dobson and her husband Bobby of Verona; two sons, Scott E. Strickler and his wife Kristle of Gordonsville and Wayne R. Rankin of Harrisonburg; two brothers, Willard Rankin of Staunton and Douglas Rankin of Fort Defiance; a granddaughter, Nicole Strickler and a number of nieces and nephews, also survive.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2015 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A Graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, October 26, 2015 in the Riverview Cemetery in Waynesboro by Pastor William Strickler.
