Lois Catherine Ellinger, 71, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville.

Miss Ellinger was born in Staunton on June 26, 1951, the daughter of the late Casper and Ruby (Lucas) Ellinger.

She was a graduate of Riverheads High School and the Elizabeth Brant School of Business. Lois was a lifelong member of St. John's United Church of Christ and was employed by Staunton Union Stockyards and Walmart. She was a skilled needleworker and enjoyed crafts of all types.

She is survived by her aunts, Elizabeth E. Spitler and Doris E. Heizer, uncle and aunt, Richard P. and Ann Ellinger, and many cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 in St. John's Reformed Church Cemetery by the Reverend David Vaughan.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
