Linda Jo Barbosa, 72, of Staunton, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026 at her residence.

Ms. Barbosa was born in Fort Worth, Texas on June 14, 1954, the daughter of the late William Joseph Richard and Nancy Jo (Kemp) Barbosa.

Linda retired from James Madison University. She enjoyed gardening and, above all, cherished her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Barbosa was preceded in death by three brothers, James Barbosa, Richard Barbosa, and David Barbosa.

Surviving, are three sons, Connor Tobin and his wife, Erin of Staunton, Kyle Tobin of Staunton, and Kelly Tobin of San Marcos, Texas; four grandchildren, Kelton Tobin, Brittain Tobin, Markus Tobin and Lukas Tobin; her loving former husband, Ronald Ivey; and her pet dog, “Barney” whom she loved dearly.

There will be a private gathering at a later date.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
