Linda Alice (Grogg) Campbell, 55, wife of William E. Bill Campbell of 474 Sterrett Road passed away Monday, December 12, 2011 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mrs. Campbell was born May 29, 1956 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Wilmer Donald and Jessie Thelma (Harper) Grogg.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Tina Faye Lotts and two sisters, Shirley Sue (Grogg) Colvin and Elsie Pauline (Grogg) Coffman.
Mrs. Campbell attended Foursquare Baptist Church in Lexington and was employed by the Wilco Hess Station in Raphine. Linda was a wonderful wife, mother and she enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of seven years, survivors include her son, Franklin Eugene Frankie Grogg of Fairfield; two daughters, Nena Marie Guenther and her husband Ahren of Staunton and Jennifer Fay Lotts and her fiance Walter Pugh of Greenville; two brothers, Donald Roy Grogg and his wife Wanda of Fishersville and Danny William Grogg and his wife Teresa of Verona; four sisters, Sarah Ruth Grogg of Goshen, Willie Mae Hayes and her husband Donald of Craigsville, Margie Leona Pannell and her husband William of Afton and Martha Helena Pannell of Verona; three grandchildren, Dixion Pugh, Walter Guenther and Audrey Guenther; a special friend, Wayne Lotts of Greenville also survive.
A Celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2011 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor H. Max Bolin.
Burial will follow in the Old Providence Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.
Active pallbearers will be Darrell Hayes, E.G. Pannell, Ahren Guenther, D.W. Grogg, II, Billy Campbell, Chad Nestor, Wayne Lotts and JR Pannell.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
