Lenore (Crisa) Shilling, 70, widow of William D. Shilling, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Birch Gardens.
Lenore was born July 14, 1943 in New York, a daughter of the late Vincent and Mary Crisa.
Mrs. Shilling was a member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church in Verona and a member of the Open Bible Sunday School class. She retired from Augusta Dodge where she was employed as the office manager for twenty years and had worked for twenty years at Suntrust Bank.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Shilling was preceded in death by her first husband, Francis H. Lockridge.
Surviving is a son, Raymond E. Lockridge and wife Tammy of Verona; two grandchildren, Tiffany R. Lockridge and Logan R. Lockridge both of Verona; a special sister-in-law, Sally Hicks and her husband Bob of Mint Springs; special niece, Stephanie Neil and husband Derrick and daughter, Aislynn of Stuarts Draft; and very special friends, Brenda Morgan and Lucy Crookshanks.
A Celebration of life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Laurel Hill Baptist Church by Pastor Wellford Tiller.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
Active pallbearers will be Tom Ross, S. A. Lockridge, Clinton Shilling, Bob Hicks, Jeff Cleveland, Bobbie Meyerhoeffer, Steve Riley and Kenneth Cleveland.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Open Bible Sunday School class.
It is suggested that those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah, Post Office Box 215, Fishersville, VA 22939.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Birch Gardens and their staff for their wonderful care of Mrs. Shilling.
