Larry Donnell Smith, 57, husband of Rolando M. Smith, of 88 January Drive, Waynesboro passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at his residence

Mr. Smith was born on October 11, 1955 in Natchez, Mississippi, a son of the late Andrew James, Sr. and Sarah (Williams) Smith.

Mr. Smith was a member of the Staunton Salvation Army Church and a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed with Virginia Castone as a shipping supervisor. He enjoyed gardening and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by a daughter, Fanchelle Smith and a brother, Samuel Smith.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 14 years are two sons, Larry (L.J.) Smith, Jr. of Lake Charles, LA and LaQuin Torian of Staunton; four daughters, Londie Smith of Houston, TX, LaTasha Simon of Lake Charles, LA, Angelique Mikki Smith of Houston TX and Shemico Nikki Williams of New Orleans, LA;three brothers, Rev. Sam Baker and wife Cynthia of Desthran, LA, Andrew Smith, Jr. of Lake Charles, LA and Archie Smith of Dillon, SC; three sisters, Beatrice Marshall of Hopewell, VA, Sarah Jones and husband Albert of Vidalia, LA and Willia Mae Basley of Ferriday, LA; his mother-in-law, Katie M. Davis of Staunton and ten grandchildren also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2013 in the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, 744 Moose Lodge Road, Vidalia, LA by Rev. Christopher Robinson.

Burial will follow in the Natchez National Cemetery

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2013 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
