Larry Wayne
Smallwood
March 1, 1950 – December 7, 2022
Mr. Smallwood was born in Waynesboro, Virginia on March 1, 1950, a son of the late Paul and Charlotte (Parr) Smallwood.
Wayne served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He farmed all his life. He was employed with G.E./Genicom for twenty-eight years and retired from Dupont after eight years.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Smallwood was preceded in death by a sister.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of forty-four years, are two sons, Larry Smallwood, II and his wife, Susie; and Brent Smallwood and his friend, Crystal; a daughter, Stacy Truslow and her husband, Ricky; grandchildren, Torie, Garret, Havanna, Brooke, Alston, Izack, Aiden and Kylee; three brothers; a special cousin, Lee Smallwood; and special friends, Bill and Teresa Berry, Stephanie, Shane and Johnny Whitmore; and Kenny and Brenda Weaver.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2022 in Springdale Mennonite Church Cemetery by Pastor Corey Smallwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The MaDee Project, P.O. Box 850, Fishersville, VA 22939 or New Hope Volunteer Fire & Rescue, P.O. Box 38, New Hope, VA 24469.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
