Larry Nelson Hinebaugh's Obituary

Larry Nelson Hinebaugh, 77, of Waynesboro, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 at his home after a three year battle with esophageal and liver cancer.

Mr. Hinebaugh was born May 22, 1943 in Harrisonburg, Virginia a son of the late Nelson Garfield and Elizabeth (Randall) Hinebaugh.

Larry was a graduate of Wilson Memorial High School Class of 1961. He served twelve years in the Virginia Army National Guard 116th Headquarters Division in Staunton, Virginia. Larry retired from DuPont in Waynesboro after forty years of service. After retirement, he worked for the Waynesboro City Schools and Kingmoor Supply as a bus driver. He was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church where he served on several church committees and currently held the position of Chair of Trustees. Larry enjoyed gardening, music, singing, and watching his grandchildren play sports.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hinebaugh was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashleigh Noelle Huff.

Surviving is his wife, Nadine (Via) Hinebaugh of fifty-six years; a daughter, Sharyn H. Huff and her husband Michael; a son, Randall S. Hinebaugh and his wife Kim of Glen Allen; grandchildren, Christian M. Huff and his friend, Kendall Stuckey, Jeanna Hope, and Krista Faith Hinebaugh; two sisters, Phyllis Hoover of Waynesboro and Rebecca Marsh and her husband Barry of Roanoke; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2021 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

(Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic all current guidelines and restrictions will be followed.)

The family would like to thank Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah for all their wonderful care, especially his nurse, Kim.

Due to the COVID restrictions a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
