Larry Michael Campbell's Obituary

Larry Michael Campbell, 68, husband of Rita Kaye (Shaw) Campbell, of Staunton, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mr. Campbell was born in Staunton, Virginia on March 11, 1953, a son of Willie Anne (Campbell) Jolly.

Larry had a heart of gold and was a loving and compassionate man. He had a great sense of humor and was loved by everyone he met. Larry enjoyed playing his guitar and had a passion for country music, old rock and roll, rhythm, and blues.

Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by a stillborn infant; two brothers, Ralph W. Melton and Randall S. Jolly; dear maternal grandparents, Stewart Campbell and Neader (Massie) Campbell; and stepfather, Frank Jolly, Sr.; his mother and father-in-law, Dorothy J. Shaw and Leonard M. Shaw; and a sister-in-law, Judith S. McCray.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 39 years and mother, is a brother, Frank Jolly, Jr.; a sister, Patty Viar (Mark); and sisters in law, Betty S. Schooley (Dave), Vicki S. Almarode, Norma Jolly and Kathi Jolly; an uncle, Zane Campbell; a number of nieces, nephews, special friends and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Third Presbyterian Church by Pastor Jacob Singleton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service
