Larry Franklin Callihan, 52, of 82 Gish Lane, went to be with the Lord and join his parents on Sunday, April 4, 2010 in Staunton.
Mr. Callihan was born September 9, 1957 in Charleston, West Virginia, a son of the late Robert F. and Dorothy Ann Callihan.
Larry always wore a smile and made everyone laugh. He was a person who would do any favor that you asked of him. He cherished time spent with his family and friends. He was loved by all who met him. Larry loved football, baseball, basketball, fishing and boating. He was an avid Redskin and University of Virginia Cavalier Fan. He enjoyed music, going to concerts and spending time on the water.
Larrys most resent employer was Albemarle County where he worked as a Real Estate Tax Assessor. He was also employed by Blue Ridge Mass Appraisal and Lovegrove Construction.
Survivors include a daughter, Megan Lynn Callihan and her fianc Allen Robertson of Stuarts Draft; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles Phillip Charlie Callihan and his wife Carolyn of Roswell, GA and Robert Michael Callihan and his wife Virginia of Swoope; a sister, Kelli Ann Ostrander of Staunton; his fiance, Virginia Ginger Trimble and her two children, Christopher and Sarah Trimble all of Staunton; granddaughter, Ryleigh Haven Robertson; nieces and nephews, Phillip, Kristen, Courtney, Michael and Shea. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends who he loved very much.
Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2010 in Christ United Methodist Church by Rev. Robert Edwards.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, 6 to 8 p.m. at the family home, 803 Craig Drive, in Staunton.
