Larry Steven Barcomb, 63, husband of Mary Irene (Bailey) Barcomb, of 917 Skymont Road went to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mr. Barcomb was born on December 11, 1950, in Plattsburg, N.Y. a son of the late George Ferris, Sr. and Velma Margaret (Boudreau) Barcomb.
Larry attended Faith Christian Church and was a past member of the Staunton Jaycees. Prior to his retiring from Lowes of Staunton as an appliance salesman, Larry was employed by Coca Cola Bottling Company and the Montgomery Ward Store. He enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling and spending time with his friends and family. Larry fought a very strong and courageous battle over the years, never giving up his will to live.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Barcomb was preceded in death by a brother, George F. Barcomb, Jr. and a sister, Margaret B. Allen.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 44 years, is a daughter, Dianna R. Dice and husband Larry of Staunton; his two pet dogs, Buffy and Rocky; a very special friend, Tom Johnson and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2014 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 20, 2014 in Oak Lawn Memory Gardens.
