IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Laramie Brooks
Dodson
July 1, 2022 – January 5, 2023
Laramie Brooks Dodson, 6 months old, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
She was born in Charlottesville on July 1, 2022 to her loving parents Brady Scott and Logan Ashleigh (May) Dodson.
During her short period of life, she overcame many obstacles and surpassed many expectations. Laramie was both strong and courageous. She was always happy, often smiling and enjoyed sticking her tongue out at visitors. She loved being held by her mother and was a joy to her parents and others.
Laramie brought an abundance of happiness and hope to everyone who met her. She had many friends in the PICU at UVA who visited often. Though her life was short, she left an impression on the lives of her family, the Churchville community, and others who knew her. Her memory will remain in our hearts forever.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Layne Jennings Dodson; paternal grandparents, Paul Dodson and his wife, Ladena, of Churchville; maternal grandparents, Jeff May and his wife, Shelby of Staunton; paternal great-grandfather, Doyce McWhorter of Churchville; paternal great-grandmother, Hazel Dodson and her companion, Rodney Talley of Churchville; maternal great-grandmother, Juanita May of Swoope; maternal great-grandparents, Homer Eutsler and his wife, Norma of Staunton.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2023 in St. Paul United Methodist Church led by Pastor Lester Kennedy.
Burial will follow in the Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Churchville.
Those desiring to make memorial contributions should consider giving to H.E.L.P., P.O. Box 76, Churchville, Virginia 24421.
