Kristie Leigh Blakely's Obituary
Kristie Leigh Blakely, 38, of Churchville passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at her residence after a short illness.
She was born February 16, 1973 in Staunton, VA to Karolyn Blakely Colvin of Churchville.
She was preceded in death by her father, Danny Heavener of Verona and her grandfather, Paige Russell Blakely, Jr. of Mississippi.
Kristie could always be found with her two little ones by her side.
She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her two sons, Hunter McCoy Cross and Hadon Russell Cross of Churchville, and their father, George Cross of Verona; her dedicated, dear mother, Karolyn Blakely Colvin of Churchville; her step-father, Ronald K. Colvin of Craigsville; her brother, Paige Colvin and his wife Jennifer and niece, Addison Colvin of Verona; her grandparents, Harvey and Pauline Goff of Augusta Springs; her uncles, Paige Blakely of Florida; Paul Blakely of Maryland; Lee Goff and his wife Krystal of Staunton; her aunts, Sherri B. Higgins of Verona; Sandra Halterman of Stuarts Draft; Penny Goff of West Augusta; as well as numerous cousins. She is also survived by Maria Armentrout who was like a second mother and her husband, Marshall of Crozet.
A Memorial service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Glossbrenner United Methodist Church, Churchville, VA.
