Kirby Blair Strawderman, Sr., 83, widower of Pauline Mae (Coffman) Brownie Strawderman of 759 Howardsville Trpk. passed away Monday, December 26, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Strawderman was born on August 26, 1933 in Hardy County, West Virginia, a son of the late Joseph Daniel Strawderman and Mabel (Miller) Strawderman Crider.
Kirby attended Stuarts Draft Full Gospel Church and was retired from Augusta County Schools in the maintenance department. Prior to his employment with the School System, Mr. Strawderman worked for Moores Brothers Construction. He enjoyed hunting, doing farm work and working on cars.
Surviving are two sons, Kirby B. Strawderman, Jr. of Middlebrook, and David P. Strawderman of Lyndhurst; a daughter, Rose M. Neff of Stuarts Draft; two brothers, Norman Strawderman and Foster Strawderman both of Broadway; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his caregiver, Kirby B. Strawderman, III. and a close friend, Charles Moran also survive.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
