Kenneth Earl Kenny Shifflett, Jr., 57, husband of Hope L. (West) Shifflett passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013.
Mr. Shifflett was born on August 6, 1956 in Staunton, a son of the late Kenneth Earl and Dolores (Roadcap) Peachy Shifflett.
Kenny was employed as an auto painter for Elliott Chevrolet. He was a car enthusiast, an avid NASCAR and Jeff Gordon fan, he loved his children and grandchildren and will be sorely missed.
In addition to his wife of 25 years are two sons, Kenneth Dwayne Shifflett and Kevin K.C. Shifflett and Lindsey Cash both of Staunton; three daughters, Jody Delores Shifflett and fianc Toby Cash of Waynesboro, Hope Christine Shifflett and fianc David Thompson of Stuarts Draft and Julie Marie (Shifflett) Knight and husband Richard of Staunton; three brothers, James Bouncer Shifflett and wife Adrian of Staunton, Michael Mikey Shifflett and wife Diane of Stuarts Draft, Garland Beau Shiflet of Churchville; three sisters, Bonnie Overbey and husband Gerald of Staunton, Teresa T.C. Sprouse and husband Carl Lee of Swoope and Deborah Gordon of Churchville; fifteen grandchildren and his first wife, Hazel Overbey Miller of North Carolina also survive.
A Graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2013 in Oaklawn Memory Gardens by the Pastor Dennis Bradley, Sr.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
