Kenneth Kenny Franklin Rankin, 62, of 220 Hupman Road passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Rankin was born on April 26, 1954 in Baltimore, Maryland, a son of Evelyn Novela (Ward) Rankin and the late William Franklin Rankin, Jr.
Kenny was a veteran of the United States Army and he was a self-employed contractor. He enjoyed camping, gardening, woodworking and he was a talented artist.
In addition to his father, Mr. Rankin was preceded in death by a niece, Courtney Powell.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Waynesboro is a son, Kenneth Kenny A. Rankin of Ellicott City, Maryland; a daughter, Jessica Rankin of Cockeysville, Maryland; his partner, Mary Mullenax of Churchville; a brother, William Frank Rankin and wife Darlene of Staunton; four sisters, Patricia Martin and husband Jerry of Edinburg, Donna Cason and husband Luke of Staunton, Alice Ann Snead and husband Joe of Columbia and Debbie Rankin of Lynchburg; a granddaughter, Kayla Hubbard; his four legged friend, Sammy and a number of nieces and nephews, also survive.
A private graveside service will be held in the Riverview Cemetery in Waynesboro by Pastor Frank Hall with military rites.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
