Kathy Sue (Waller) Zimbro, 63, wife of Rockie Austin Zimbro, of Springhill Road in Staunton, Virginia passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at her residence.
Mrs. Zimbro was born in Fries, Virginia on February 8, 1961, a daughter of Galena Paige (Wampler) Waller and the late Charles Junior Waller.
Kathy was a member of Staunton Church of God of Prophecy and retired from Kings Daughters Nursing as a CNA. She was a strong Christian, loved gospel music, and enjoyed sewing, knitting and crafting.
In addition to her mother of Rocky Mount, Virginia, and her husband of 41 years, is a son, Wendell C. Zimbro of Staunton; a daughter, Melissa A. Rankin and her husband, Justin of Churchville; a sister, Bonnie (Waller) Hardy and her husband, Tommy of Rocky Mount, VA; and four grandchildren, Jesse James Rankin, Austin Rankin, Dawson Seekford, and Jaxson Zimbro.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Darren Massey.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be J.R. Rucker, Lauren Sprouse, Marvin Crosby, Justin Rankin, and Adam Crenshaw.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
