Miss Kathryn Anne Palmer, 71, of 1701 Middlebrook Road passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at her residence following a brief illness.

Miss Palmer was born on April 27, 1945, a daughter of the late Raymond F. Dude and Claudyne (Rosen) Palmer.

Kathryn was a lifelong member of the St. Johns Reformed UCC Church where she had served as a deacon. She was a graduate of Wilson Memorial High School and the Valley Vocational Technical School. At the time of her death, she was employed by Bankers Insurance in Accounting with forty-nine years of service. She was appointed by the Governor to the Regional Disability Board. Kathryn will be remembered for her humility, generous spirit, dry humor, incredible work ethic, and quiet courage in the face of great adversity.

Survivors include her sisters, Margaret L. Peggy Palmer of Arbor Hill and Sarah M. Palmer of Staunton; dear friends, Sue Burkholder, Sue Gochenour, B.B. and Jo Lee Hanger, Mary and Frank Dull, Ann Heizer, Jerry, Ann and Jason Shultz; and the employees and co-workers of Bankers Insurance also survive.

There will be no formal visitation, however visitors are welcome at the family home at 1701 Middlebrook Road at any time or you may pay your respects by visiting Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2016 in the St. Johns Reformed Church Cemetery by Rev. Thomas Arner.
