Kathleen Jane (Meyerhoeffer) Cline, 89, wife of Paul Erskine Cline, of Fort Defiance, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at her residence.
Mrs. Cline was born in Augusta County, Virginia on August 29, 1935, a daughter of the late Clyde Meyerhoeffer and LouElla (Swortzel) Meyerhoeffer.
Kathleen was formerly employed by Rask Florist and had a deep passion for cattle farming, where she was also recognized as a professional cattle caller. She was a devoted member of Middle River Church of the Brethren and cherished her church family. Mrs. Cline enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cline was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline M. Saufley; and a brother, David C. Meyerhoeffer.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 72 years, is a daughter, Paula (Cline) Hooke and her husband, Eddie of Fort Defiance; a son, Paul "Kenny" Cline and his wife, Debbie of Mt. Sidney; a brother, Elwood F. Meyerhoeffer of Laurel Hill; five grandchildren, Meghan, Kendrah, Kristen, Cara, and Kelsey; nine great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Middle River Church of the Brethren.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
