Katherine Lucille Aunt Kack (Howdyshell) Rudolph, 92, widow of Jack Rudolph, formerly of Belmore Avenue passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 in the Kings Daughters Community Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Rudolph was born on September 13, 1923 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Carl Rosco and Ressie Virginia (Knott) Howdyshell.
Katherine was a member of the Staunton Church of the Brethren. She was a homemaker, enjoyed reading her Bible, working word search books and watching birds. Mrs. Rudolph loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Rudolph was preceded in death by a son, William Rudolph; three sisters, Anna Howdyshell, Robena Dove and Edna Jordon; and two brothers, Melvin Howdyshell and Edgar Howdyshell.
Surviving is a son James L. Jimmy Rudolph of Staunton; a brother, Gordon Bud Howdyshell of Pekin, IL; four sisters, Mazie Huffer, Polly Hise and Molly Emmett all of Mt. Solon and Della Sines of Smith Mountain Lake; five grandchildren, Tammy White, Danny Rudolph, Lisa Rudolph, Steven Rudolph and William Jackson Rudolph; three great-grandchildren, Crystal Shorter, Jennifer White and Emma Rudolph; two great-great-grandchildren, Jaden Robertson and Skyler Morris; a special friend and care giver, Audrey Kellison and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
A private graveside service will be conducted in Oaklawn Memory Gardens by Pastor Scott Duffey.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
