Karl William Wondersek, Jr., 81, husband of Sue (Guinn) Wondersek, of White Oak Gap Road in Staunton, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Wondersek was born on November 27, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland, a son of the late Karl William, Sr. and May Vivian (Miller) Wondersek.

Mr. Wondersek was retired from DuPont, where was he was employed as an Analytical Consultant and was a veteran of the United States Army.

In addition to his parents Mr. Wondersek was preceded in death by his beloved pet cat "Rusty" and a brother, Bruce M. Wondersek.

Surviving in addition to his wife of fifty-seven years, is a son, Karl Wondersek of Stuarts Draft; three daughters, Nancy Glade of Mt. Ephraim, New Jersey, Marlene Shaw and her husband Robert of Stuarts Draft and Elizabeth Wondersek of Charleston, West Virginia; a brother, Richard M. Wondersek and his wife Laurie of Kansas City, Kansas; seven grandchildren and his beloved pet cat Maile also survive.

At the request of Mr. Wondersek there will be no public services.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
