Obituary

June Mary Virginia (Grogg) Colvin, 90, wife of Harold B. Colvin, of 23 Sunset Drive, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017.
Mrs. Colvin was born on March 17, 1927 in Augusta County, Virginia, a daughter of the late James Albert and Louise (Kirkpatrick) Grogg.
Mrs. Colvin was a member of the Waynesboro Church of the Brethren, she was a homemaker, enjoyed quilting, reading, and collecting tea cups and Ty Beanie Babies. Mrs. Colvin was spoken by her family as a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be sorely missed.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Colvin was preceded in death by a brother, James Robert Grogg and a sister, Jane Ellen Martin Bosserman.
Mrs. Colvin was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 65 years is a son, Harold B. Colvin, II and his wife Susan H. of Waynesboro; four grandchildren, Joseph A. Colvin, Matthew A. Colvin, Derek A. Colvin and his wife Toni, and Jennifer N. Rankin and her husband Derrick; five great-grandchildren, Anna C. Colvin, Madison C. Colvin, Naomi R. Colvin, Mackenzie M. Colvin, and Zachary A. Colvin; a sister-in-law, Louise T. Grogg of Craigsville; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends anytime at the residence.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Todd Crowder.
Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Matthew A. Colvin, Derek A. Colvin, Derrick Rankin, Mark Humphreys, Bruce Humphreys, and Mike McGinnis.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the Waynesboro Church of the Brethren, 364 Bridge Avenue, Waynesboro, Virginia 22980 or the University of Virginia Childrens Hospital, 1215 Lee Street, Charlottesville, Virginia 22908.
The family would like to express a special Thank You to the Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah and the staff of the Shenandoah Nursing Home for their love and care of Mrs. Colvin during her illness.
