June Bartley Flavin, 90, wife of Glenn Patrick Flavin, Sr. of Verona, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022 at the Shenandoah Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville, Virginia.

Mrs. Flavin was born on June 18, 1931 in Augusta County, Virginia, a daughter of the late Cecil Lee and Malinda (Shumake) Wilkerson.

June was a lifelong member of the Verona United Methodist Church and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Staunton, where she was a faithful servant and fervent prayer warrior. She retired after 40 years of service at Moore Brothers Construction Company. June loved her flowers, decorating for every season and occasion and baking cakes. She also loved to travel, shop, and listening to Elvis Presley songs. As her health declined, her faith in God stayed strong. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Flavin was preceded in death by her first husband, Lynn Steele Bartley; two sisters, Sylvia Violet Leach and Lila Lee Shawver; two nieces Patricia Rexrode and Gloria Ward; and a nephew, Douglas Bartley.

Surviving, is a daughter, Linda Bartley Alexander and her husband Danny of Waynesboro; a special grandson, Nick Alexander and his wife, Lynn; two adored great-grandsons, Noah and Ben Alexander, all of Lexington, Virginia; June's husband of eighteen years, Pat and his children, Glenn Flavin, Jr. and Scott Flavin, Cathy Shipe, Donna Calhoun, and Diane Hanger; and a number of special nieces and nephews.

Those desiring to pay their respects may do so from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A private graveside service will take place in the Verona United Methodist Church Cemetery.
