Judy Ann (Cronk) Sams, 67, widow of Bobby Grey Sams of 107 Waterford Loop passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Sams was born on October 11, 1948 in Clifton Forge, a daughter of the late Howard Brown, Sr. and Mary (Powers) Cronk.
Judy was a member of the Verona United Methodist Church and was employed by Wal-Mart in Waynesboro where she was a stocker. She had a passion for gardening and was a devoted grandmother.
Surviving is a daughter, Wendy Ann (Sams) Maddox and her husband Darryl; a grandson, Darryl Maddox, Jr.; three siblings, Norma Jean Bixby, Howard B. Buddy Cronk, Jr. and Mary Jane Yeager; and two nieces and a nephew also survive.
A private graveside service will be held in the Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery.
It is suggested those desiring to make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, South Atlantic Division, 1445 East Rio Road, Suite 104, Charlottesville, Virginia 22901.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
