Judith Stuart Coakley's Obituary

Judith Stuart Judy (Shelley) Coakley, 63, of 163 Spring Crest Lane, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at her residence.
Mrs. Coakley was born December 27, 1945 in Staunton, daughter of the late Earl Maupin and Edith Ava (Walters) Shelley.
Judy was an active member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church and was formerly employed at Nancys Coiffeur in Verona. She loved to cook and enjoyed traveling. She especially enjoyed cooking meals for the church\u0027s Wednesday Logos Ministry.
She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving is a grandson, John Eric Finley of Staunton; her church family at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church and two dear friends, Hanne Henderson and Kathy Bigelow.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2009 in the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church by the Rev. Robert D. McCarty.
Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2009 in the funeral home.
Active pallbearers will be Lyndon L. Walters, Jr., Randy Fisher, Michael Walters, Michael King, Dennis Link and Carl King.
It is suggested that those desiring to make memorial contributions to Staunton/Augusta Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 2566, Staunton, VA 24402.
