Joyce Ann (Lawhorne) Patterson, 88, widow of Marvin Wayne Patterson, of Stuarts Draft, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023 at her sons' residence.

Mrs. Patterson was born in Augusta County, Virginia on September 5, 1935, a daughter of the late Charles Lawhorne and Edna Lawhorne.

Mrs. Patterson retired from General Electric/Genicom.

Surviving, is a son, Timothy Patterson and wife, Deborah of Stuarts Draft; a grandson, Dine Patterson and his wife, Elizabeth of Cleveland, Tennessee; and a sister, Louise Paxton of Spottswood, Virginia.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 in the Calvary United Methodist Church Cemetery by Pastor David Vaughan.

The family wishes to express a special "thank you" to the nurses, social workers, and volunteers with the Augusta Health Foundation Hospice of the Shenandoah for their care and support.
