Joy Elizabeth (Hinkle) Jones, 53, of 26 Brinkley Drive passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.

She was born on December 9, 1964 in Staunton, a daughter of Grace (Bickel) Hinkle and the late Johnnie Jennings Hinkle.

Joy was employed with Valley Mission for six years and loved helping people. She enjoyed music, reading, animals, and Indian decor. Joy loved attending Indian Pow-Wow's. She loved her son and her family dearly.

Surviving in addition to her mother of Verona, is her companion, Tony Kingsley of Fishersville; a son, Derek Marshall of Fishersville; a sister, Deborah Lockhart of Verona; two nephews, Eric Lockhart and wife Susan and Jason Lockhart and wife Chasity.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Michael Eastman. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Middle River Church of the Brethren Cemetery.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of her arrangements.
