Josephine (Weese) Seaman, 95 formerly of Waynesboro, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 in Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Seaman was born in Dartmore, West Virginia on October 8, 1926 a daughter of the late Roy and Sudie (Bodkin) Weese.

Josephine was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church. Following graduation from high school, Josephine went to work for the FBI and later the U.S. Steel Company in Cleveland, Ohio, where she retired with twenty-four years of service.  Mrs. Seaman then moved to Virginia to be with her children and worked at Mastic Corp. She enjoyed reading and traveling.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Seaman was preceded in death by her husband Effie "Andrew" Wallace Seaman; a son, Gary L. Seaman; a daughter-in-law, Joan Alise (Cox) Seaman; a granddaughter, Lynn A. Tate and two great-grandchildren, Justin B. Snead and Savannah S. Jarvis.

Mrs. Seaman was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving is a daughter, Patricia "Pattie" (Seaman) Jarvis and her husband Jerry of Middlebrook; two grandchildren, Bryan M. Jarvis and his wife Dawn and Kevin S. Jarvis and his wife Safiya; five great-grandchildren, Anthony, Tristan, Cyrus, Samuel and Kate; two-step great grandchildren, Crystal and Montana and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2022 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in Green Hill Cemetery in Churchville by Pastor Don McClure.
