Joseph Frederick Ritter, 79, husband of Marguerite Sandy Ritter, formerly of 35 Fairfield Drive, passed away Monday, February 1, 2010 in Envoy of Staunton.
Mr. Ritter was born March 18, 1930 in Baltimore, MD a son of the late Joseph and Theresa Ritter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Ritter Evans and his granddaughter, Tammi Garber Switzer.
Mr. Ritter was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and was retired from the Department of Commerce where he was employed as an accountant.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters and a son-in-law, Trish Buote Garber and her husband Ron of Churchville and Barbara Buote Catterton of Waldorf, MD; a granddaughter, Sky Moats and her husband Brian, of Waldorf, MD; four great-grandchildren, Robbie Switzer, Destinee Morris, Matthew Morris and Madisynn Moats of Waldorf, MD; his sister, Gloria Vernon of Baltimore, MD; a step-sister, Della Livolsi and her husband, Pete of Perry Hall, MD; two nephews Peter Livolsi, Jr. and Chuck Evans both of MD.
A graveside service was conducted 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 4, 2010 at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD.
