IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joseph Lee
"Fuzzy" Stuples, Sr.
August 29, 1960 – June 15, 2024
Joseph Lee "Fuzzy" Stuples, Sr., 63, husband of Dorothy Jean Stuples, of Craigsville, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at his residence.
Mr. Stuples was born in Staunton, Virginia on August 29, 1960, a son of Richard Basil Stuples and the late Nancy Lee (Martin) Stuples.
Fuzzy retired from Mohawk and was proud to be able to provide well for his family. He enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren and loved spending time with his family. Mr. Stuples helped care for his parents and since his mother's passing, he has missed her greatly.
You could always find him enjoying the outdoors, whether he was hunting, fishing, camping, cutting his own firewood, or tinkering with something, usually listening to his favorite singer, Loretta Lynn. Fuzzy was a handyman and "could make anything, out of anything". His pride and joy was his 1987 Ford F-150, "Red Devil".
In addition to his dear mother, Mr. Stuples was preceded in death by his constant companion, "Princess", his pet dog that was always by his side.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and father, are two sons, Joseph L. Stuples, Jr. and his wife, Krystal and Martin "Marty" Stuples and his wife, Rachel; two brothers, William "Rick" Stuples and his wife, Kathy of Brownsburg and Stanley A. Stuples of Goshen; a sister, Karen L. Strickler and her husband, Russell of Craigsville; three grandchildren, Haley, Kathleen, and Martin; a soon to be born great-grandchild, Ensley; and special friends, Malcolm Campbell, Graham Aldridge, Keith Sterrett, and Russell Strickler, III.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024 in Estaline Valley Church of the Nazarene by Pastor Lewis Knight.
Burial will follow in Little River Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Malcolm Campbell, Graham Aldridge, Jeff Randolph, Mikey Randolph, Tommy Humphreys, and Jason Hinkle.
Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Sterrett, Russell Strickler, III, and Little John Randolph.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of his arrangements.
